A Film and Photo Location on Long Island
Scouting a location that behaves is half the battle. NOM Studios gives you a controlled, bookable space in Garden City with the amenities a crew actually needs, instead of a pretty room that fights you on power, light, and parking.
A location you can control
Unlike an on-location shoot, a studio lets you own the light and the sound. We have a two-wall cyclorama, blackout curtains, studio lighting, and movable walls, so you can build the look instead of working around windows and street noise.
Built for a crew
- Easy load-in and on-site parking
- Reliable power for lighting and gear
- A private podcast room that works as a green room or holding area
- Roughly 2,000 square feet of flexible floor
- Flexible scheduling, including off-hours
Central to the whole area
Garden City sits in the middle of Nassau County, a short hop from the Queens border and reachable from western Suffolk, which makes call times easier when talent and crew are coming from different places.
Reach out with your dates and needs, and hold the space for your shoot.
Predictable beats pretty
A beautiful on-location spot can still ruin a shoot day with bad light, street noise, no parking, or a landlord who changes the rules at the last minute. A studio trades some of that character for control, and for most commercial work that is the better trade. You own the light, the sound, and the schedule, and nothing surprises you on the day.
For scouts building options for a client, having a reliable interior that can be dressed several ways is valuable. The cyc wall reads as clean and modern, the movable walls let you reshape the space, and blackout curtains give you full control over daylight, so one location can stand in for several looks.
What a crew actually needs
Beyond the look, the practical things decide whether a day runs on time: easy load-in, dependable power, a holding or green room for talent, bathrooms, and parking. This space has them, and flexible scheduling including off-hours means you can book around a complicated call sheet instead of fighting it.
